Happy Birthday, USA
Because the United States of America is celebrating its 227the birthday, we are
taking a break from the series to do some numerology on the this country.
July 4, 1776, was established as the founding date for the United States of
America. In those early years the date of the celebration was heavily debated.
Some wanted to celebrate July 2, the date upon which the Declaration of
Independence was completed. July 4 was the date that it was approved. And July 7
was the date on which it was proclamated. The date chosen set the cycles for
this country with historical significance that goes beyond the difference of a
couple days.
With the July 4 date the USA has a 14/5 Life Path number. The lesson of the 5 is
the constructive use of freedom. Because 14/5 carries karmic overtones, the USA
will stress freedom over the constructive use. As this country has matured, it
has been able to find a place of balance. Freedom will always be a goal as long
as this system of government continues.
Had July 2 been the chosen date, the Life Path number would have been a 3. A
three life path expresses the joy in living. Communication is important. The
three has a light, airy feel. The emotions are surface feelings.
Had July 7 been chosen, the Life path number would have been an 8. The eight is
mastery of the material realm. Creating major projects on a grand scale would be
the destiny of the USA. The USA carries this aspect through a 22/4 personality
number.
The United States of America has a 9 Expression, a 5 Soul urge, and a 22/4
personality. It has a 6 Integrative vision number. These numbers make this
country desire to be innovative, and to achieve on a grand scale, while being a
care giver to the world. Often the USA is idealistic.
With the July 4 founding date, the USA in 2003 is in a 16/7 Personal Year. In a
7 year, we would expect there to be voices for isolation and withdrawal from the
world community. Communication is often misunderstood because of the different
perspective from which decisions are made. Relationships with other countries
can be rocky. On the whole, it is a year for the people of the USA to learn
faith and to assess their rightful place in the world community. This could be a
challenge to the collective ego, often called national pride.
If we were to calculate the Personal Years at historically significant times, it
would be interesting to see how the Personal year of the major countries
involved affected the outcome.
If July 2 had been chosen this country would now be in a 5 personal year. The 5
is much more impulsive than the 7. We would probably have no hesitance to take
on more than we should and to leave before the job was completed. That would not
be as good a situation for this year's events.
If July 7 had been chosen the USA would be in a 1 Personal Year. The 1 is new
beginnings, innovative ideas and acting alone, independently.
As you can see, the cycle of the USA affects how it acts on the world stage. To
gain a full picture, of course, would require calculating the charts of all the
other countries involved; Iraq, for starters, but we also need the numbers for
France, for Germany, for the United Kingdom and for the United Nations. The
intersecting numbers of all the components of an event gives a clear view of
what to expect. To complete the picture requires the personal charts of the
prime players as well. It is a fascinating study, but very time consuming.
