Musings
Have you been affected by the dual retrograde of Mercury and Mars? My astrologer
friends tell me that most people will notice some slowing down of their progress
during the early part of September, and that on the 20th, suddenly there will be
a noticeable shift. Personally, I can hardly wait.
From a numerology viewpoint, September is always the most intense month of the
year for everybody. The personal year number and the personal month number are
the same, and on the 9th, 18th, and 27th the day number is also the same. This
much of a single energy without appropriate counterbalance tends to cause a
negative use of the energy. The energy of the year number is at its peak in
September. All year has been building to this time. Starting in October, you
begin to feel the energy of the new year. October is a preview of what to expect
next year.
If you are having a wonderful year with the personal year energies in tune with
your personal numbers, make the most of September. If your year is miserable
because of conflicting energies, take heart and know that a change is right
around the corner.

I consider it a great honor to be invited to be on the morning show of LA.FM
(for Latin America, not Los Angeles) on September 11 for their commemoration of
the terrorist attack in 2001. I will be giving the numerological perspective. My
reading of the numbers for the United States for that date may be a bit
different from the common perception.
This show is heard throughout South America, Cuba, South Florida and Spain, with
about 9,000,000 listeners. It will be a new experience for me working through an
interpreter, since it is a Spanish speaking network. The exact time has not yet
been established, but it will be a 10 minute segment somewhere during the Hour
from 9:00 am to 10:00 am CDT. Unless you speak Spanish, you may not find this

A Bit of Philosophy
If a person was miserable when poor, he or she will be miserable when rich. I
had fun during both periods. My institutional career made me miserable at times,
but still, I had fun at the early stages of starting my enterprise. As a family,
we were always happy. Yet, we are happier rich.
Make no mistake about it, money is in no way everything. There are a lot of
other things you need to be "totally happy." Religion, family, friends, and
personal achievement are important too. But when you have money, they're even
better.

President Bush's Leadership Style
In this era following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and throughout
the continuing Iraq conflict, it is important to know under what numbers the
President of the United States is working. As we come up to the 2nd anniversary
of the 9/11 attack the role of President Bush becomes increasingly important.
The economic climate will be influenced by the decisions of this President.
George Walker Bush was born on July 6, 1946. What do his numbers say for the
destiny of the United States, and further through whatever influence the United
States exerts, to the whole world.

You cannot divorce politics from business. The laws that are passed and the way
regulations are enforced will affect the ability of a business to thrive, or
even to survive. Although the President and has no legislative authority, he (or
she?) does have a disproportionate influence.
Much of the character of this first term is a direct reflection of the numbers
of the man. You will note the abundance of the 6 energy in his chart. With both
the life path and The expression being 6, he inherently exhibits the
characteristics of the 6, but still has a lot of lessons to learn from this
energy. The lesson of the 6 is to learn to handle responsibility appropriately.
He has come a long way toward the necessary balance, and may still have a long
way to go. His 33/6 integrative vision number shows that this is not an ordinary
struggle. The master level energy of the 33/6 says that he is striving to find
the appropriate balance for leadership on the world stage.
Far from being the dunce that his opponents would like him to be, He is a deep
thinker and a good problem solver. He often sees the world differently from his
challengers. With a 16/7 soul urge, he has a struggle with relationships and
often comes across as being aloof and acting on his own without consideration
for the views of others. This aloofness is a protective shield to allow him to
properly consider all the input before making a decision. He is keenly
perceptive. Very little escapes his attention. He knows things intuitively that
he has not studied. This data that he takes in is put through the analysis of
his keen thinking. This soul urge number gives him the tendency toward secrecy
that characterizes this administration. It is not that he has anything to hide,
the secrecy is to avoid diluting his thinking. It can also be a protective
shield in areas of vulnerability. His lesson of leadership includes being able
to open his deepest feelings and to take the risk of sharing his true self.
His compassion is genuine, but sometimes is misinterpreted. He may need to be
more discriminate in how this compassion is applied. In some instances his
well-meaning acts of kindness can become interference instead of help. To
determine specific examples would require running the numbers of the other
parties to the situation, which is beyond the scope of this article.
With an 8 personality he appears to be more forceful and direct than he actually
feels. Those who do not know him well would have the perception of him as a
leader of strength who never questions his decisions. His inner circle knows
better. It was not an easy decision for him to proceed with action against Iraq.
That decision, no doubt, caused him to have many a sleepless night. He is
extremely effective in handling a crisis. He is more dependent upon the thinking
of the masses when there is plenty of time to ponder the circumstances.
It is too early to make a prediction about his re-election. The opposing field
is still large enough to be unwieldy for numerological analysis. I prefer to
wait until we see who emerges in opposition. President Bush is in a 9 personal
year. This is a time of personal transition. This month is also a 9 personal
month. He is closing out a lot of the past efforts and preparing for a new
approach. During this process, many may despair over his seeming lack of
leadership. I would expect his poll numbers to drop to the lowest point of his
presidency during this month. In October he begins to come into the 1 energy of
the coming year. At that point he will appear to be more decisive and the polls
will begin to climb again.
The timing of the vote is favorable for re-election. He will be finishing up a 1
personal year. November, 2004, will be a 3 personal month. coming into a 2
personal energy. This date has the combination of the leadership of the 1, the
communication and luck of the 3 and the co-operation of the 2.
