Musings
July 4th is the day on which we in the United States of America
celebrate our independence. It is often a family day with
picnics and games, and almost every major city has a fireworks
display. Here in Indianapolis, for the 34th year, the rockets
were shot from the top of the Planters Bank roof. We fried up
some chicken and made potato salad and baked cookies for a
picnic lunch while watching the awesome display of fireworks.
Every year they seem to be better. We were duly impressed until
we got home and watched the fireworks from Boston on television.
My comment was that Indianapolis still has something to aspire
to.
And so it is in life. We reach a particular plateau, and are
pleased with the accomplishment. If we become smug and
complacent our work stagnates. There is always an example just
beyond the horizon of the next step to take. Growth means
continuing to seek something better.
For most of us a quantum leap is unlikely. In comparison, the
Indianapolis fireworks and the Boston fireworks were very
similar. Both used many of the same rockets. At first I thought
that I was seeing the Indianapolis display on television. Boston
had only a couple spectacular rockets that were different. Adding
these next year to the Indianapolis display would not only be
feasible, but likely.
On the other hand, if I were watching a small town display there
would be no comparison. It would be foolish for this small
community even to aspire to a display similar to Indianapolis or
Boston. To reach that level, the small community would drain its
resources in an unwarranted extravagance.
In assessing our goals, what is possible is determined by what we
have already set in motion. What may seem to be a quantum leap to
an observer may actually be the next logical step in the thinking
and actions of the person involved. Much of the important
preparation is done outside the glare of the limelight.

In an attempt to distribute the Daily Numeroscopes with the
least interference we have recently changed host servers for the
web site. With the change the requirement to check the e-mail
within 120 seconds of a mailing was eliminated. The trade-offs
were that the message boards and links pages no longer worked.

July 15 I will be attending the Financial Superstar Conference
in Indianapolis, IN.
July 16-18 I am planning to attend Kevin Nation's Coaching

A Bit of Philosophy
Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that
it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life
unless one is rich. No one can rise to his greatest possible
height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of
money, for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have
many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has
money to buy them with...To be really rich does not mean to be
satisfied or contented with a little. No one ought to be
satisfied with a little if he is capable of using and enjoying
more. The purpose of nature is the advancement and unfolding of
life, and everyone should have all that can contribute to the
power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life. To be content
with less is sinful.

A Special Gift for You
Nina Fine is offering a PDF copy of The Science of Getting Rich,
a great little book that I found to be a missing piece in my
prosperity education. She writes in the Introduction: " In the
spring of 1998, a man I'd never met sent me a book I'd never
heard of, written long ago by a man who'd been dead for nearly
90 years. That little book changed my entire life"
I highly recommend that you pick up your own copy right away. As
a FRE E download the price is right, but the value is
immeasurable. You will also want to sign up for Nina's
newsletter filled with encouragement and insightful helps in
fascinating story format.

Oops, We goofed, or did We?
At the risk of being too candid, this article exposes some of
the early mistakes in setting up Life Path Numerology Center,
Inc. We were still in an early phase of our process and had not
known how to fully relate the numbers to a business. Oh, how far
we have come in our knowledge and understanding since then. Yet
these early choices still influence the business today.
The original founders of Life Path Numerology Center, Inc. were
Daniel R. Hardt, Timothy A. Phipps and a third partner who was
out of the business very soon after the incorporation and was
not a factor in the corporate development.
We have been blessed with board members from a variety of
backgrounds and experience. This article will not consider their
numbers as they relate to the business, but a big thanks to Donna
Winsted, Cynthia Coplen, Jacki Pizzurro and Judith Harris for
their backing.
The Data:
Birth Name: Daniel Reinhold Hardt
Birth Date: May 30, 1940
Life Path 13/4
Expression 19/1
Soul Urge 36/9
Personality 19/1
Birthday 30/3
Integrative Vision 18/9
Birth Name: Timothy Andrew Phipps
Birth Date: June 9, 1965
Life Path 18/9
Expression 25/7
Soul Urge 42/6
Personality 19/1
Birthday 9
Integrative Vision 32/5
Corporate Name: Life Path Numerology Center, Inc.
Date of Incorporation: October 22, 1996
Life Path 30/3
Expression 26/8
Soul Urge 16/7
Personality 19/1
Birthday 22/4
Integrative Vision 41/5
The first item to notice is that the corporation has 16/7 soul
urge, which expresses karma in relationships. It also has a 19/1
personality, which brings karma in independence. All in all this
was an unnecessary double dose of karmic roadblocks. Since both
Tim and I have a 19/1 personality, the image of the corporation
was not in keeping with the warm relationships that we sought to
establish.
The 8 expression requires an office that shows traditional
elegance. During much of the life of this business, such decor
has not been possible or had not been established. The
discrepancy between the high tone of the numbers and the
utilitarian setting set up cross currents in the energies that
worked against the success of the operation.
Back then we had not yet developed the Integrative Vision
Number, so it did not enter into our planning. The 5 added to
the 3 life path brought in a lot of scattered energy that made
focus a challenge. The 5 brings in a lot of opportunity, but also
the willingness to take unwise risks.
We deliberately set the founding date to give us a 3 personal
year. By ending the 3 year very soon thereafter and entering a 4
year, we felt that that cycle would give us a year of hard work
to get through the startup glitches before the wild ride in the
5 year. This cycle is 3 years behind my personal cycle. In most
years these cycles are compatible. In a few years there is a
conflict. It would have been easier to coordinate if the
corporate cycle and my personal cycle were the same. I have
tended to ignore the corporate cycles, to the detriment of the
business, and have worked with my personal cycles in making
business decisions.
Tim's cycles are a year behind the corporate cycle. This year
he is in a 3 personal year and the corporation is in an 11/2
year. Adjacent numbers tend to be in conflict. He is an
excellent numerologist. He worked in the office for several
months, but quickly burned out. The main reason for
discontinuing was this incompatibility of energies. He then
started his own separate business, which is fulfilling to him.
You can check out what he is doing at
Had we known the impact that the numbers would have on the
business and on our working relationship to it, we would have
chosen more wisely. Perhaps we should have hired a numerologist
who specialized in the business use of numerology. These
specialists are few and far between. The few who existed were
not well known. I like to think that we have filled that void.
If we were setting up the corporation today we would have chosen
differently. After completing almost a full cycle under these
numbers the business is too well established to disrupt
everything that has been done and to start over. We have learned
to work with the energies that were set up, and will likely
continue on this path.
Has it been an unnecessarily difficult path because of our
unwise choices? No doubt! Because of our own experience we can
whole-heartedly vouch for the benefits of setting up the proper
numbers at the start. If you take over a business or are already
established, as we are, understanding the numbers with which you
are dealing will let you know what decisions will make it work.
