Musings
I have been made aware that life often turns upon a very small
pivot. Have you noticed how quickly your moos can change when an
encouraging event happens. Usually it is the little things that
bring the quickest turn around. Being totally broke can kill the
spirit. But just find a forgotten bill in the pocket of a garment
that you have not worn for a while and see how quickly you
brighten up. Or how did you respond when you were having a
pity-party and someone smiled at you and gave you a compliment.
Sometimes a chance meeting will alter the course of our lives. I
was driving by a former workplace area and saw a co-worker
walking by. The decision to extend an invitation for coffee and
a chat got me a roommate for five years. It was an impulse.
Many careers have been launched because of a casual comment from
a respected person. A teacher may suggest that a student could do
well in a particular field, or a parent may compliment a child on
a project that encourages the child to pursue that field.
The upshot is that when we interact with people we may never
know the influence that a simple act or comment can have. A
seemingly casual meeting of no noticeable consequence can become
a life-changing event. Don't be stingy with your kind words.
They are of great power.

Fate or Choice
If numerology is accurate are you fated to a particular path or
life style? This question is one that is frequently asked of me.
When you set your business numbers do they control the business
forever?
Numerology deals with your characteristics in this life time. It
additionally describes the cycles to which you are subject. By
understanding the pattern that you set up at birth or that you
set for your business at its establishment you can more easily
create a successful life or business.
At birth you bring in certain traits -- your hair color, the
complexion of your skin, the color of your eyes. Your genes were
programmed to determine your ultimate height. These traits are
set (fate), but you have a great deal of choice as to what you
do with these traits. You can tint your hair, you can wear
colored contacts. You can choose to be a slob or a neatnik. You
can be considerate or rude. These choices are available, but
your numbers will show which way you feel more comfortable. When
you choose against your nature the job becomes more difficult.
You must think about your actions in greater detail to make this
unnatural approach work for you. When you let down your guard you
revert to the normal inclination.
I am reminded of the young man who desired to be a concert
pianist. His numbers did not strongly support this decision.
Through sheer determination and hours of practice he
accomplished his goal, but the greatness that he sought eluded
him. He had to fight every day to maintain his position. Even
with this desire and discipline he could not find the true
satisfaction that he thought would come.
This young man made a choice against his numbers. This decision
led to a daily battle with himself. Did he make a mistake? I
applaud anyone who has the inner fortitude to persist against
these odds. He learned a lot about himself in the process. This
was not a mistake, it was a use of free will. No effort is
wasted. Although he fought restrictions in this lifetime, I
believe that in a future lifetime, this effort will show itself
as natural talent. At that time he will see the full reward for
his effort.
Considering the other side of the matter, it may be that he
previously used the same persistence to develop a talent that
was readily available to him in this lifetime. By not pursuing
that path, he did not tap into the talent that would have been
easier to develop. Again, that was a choice that he made. That
alternate talent was not wasted. He will probably use it in a
future lifetime. So, you see, there really is no right or wrong
in our choices.
Numerology provides the understanding upon which to make
informed choices and to realize the consequences of those
decisions. It would then appear that certain aspects are set
(fate?) Those items cannot be changed. But our choices can
determine the effect that the set items have upon our lives.
The cycles are set at birth or upon the establishment of your
business. These cycles dictate the energies to which we respond
at a particular moment. These cycles are analogous to the
calendar and the clock, which also designate cycles in our
lives. By the calendar we know to expect cold weather in winter
and hot weather in summer. We know approximately when these
changes will take place. We can prepare for the season in
advance. Likewise with the numerology cycles we know in advance
when to expect certain changes and what the nature of these
changes will be. When you follow the cycles, you are not caught
by surprise.
As with the calendar, the cycles do not dictate your actions,
but they tell you in what circumstances you will take that
action. Some activities just go more smoothly at the right time.
Unless you are a member of the Polar Bear Club, you probably
would avoid going for a swim in the lake in December in Indiana.
If you didn't know the calendar, you could plan for a lakeside
retreat in December and be disappointed that the weather was too
cold to comfortably follow through.
In the same manner you may create your business plan without
taking into account the cycles, only to find your plans thwarted
by unexpected opposition. This situation could possibly be
avoided by knowing what season it was.
Fate or choice? You decide. Whatever your conclusion, I wish you
extreme success.
