Musings:

This week I listened to Gregg Braden's tapes "Unleashing the Power
of the God Code." This is fascinating information. the part that
was most striking to me was his statement that it only takes 1% of
the square root of the mass to affect a major change. With about
6.5 billion people in the world, just 8,000 could start an
avalanche of change.

The State of Indiana has a population of about 6.5 million people.
A group of just 25-30 consistently focused people is all that is
needed to create a major change in this state.

If that small a group has that much power, why do we not see
greater results? Look inward. How consistent is your focus in your
personal goals. Most of us start with high hopes. We may visualize
a clear image of the goal. We may set a deadline by which to have
this goal. Initially we are convinced that We will have this goal.
What happens then? We get busy with the daily chores. Doubts creep
in. A different goal catches our attention. Did we really want the
first goal? Maybe we set out a plan and realize that the project
will take a whole lot more money than we can realize with our
current structure. We cannot see the possibility of the goal being
reached, so we settle for less.

If consistent focus is such a challenge for a single individual,
you can see how difficult it is to get even a small group focus. A
strong leader is needed to keep the the group on track. It is
easier to give away our power than to deliberately use it.

Perhaps you are the Esther for this age. Reread that Biblical story
of how she saved her people from destruction at the hands of Haman.
Perhaps it is for this purpose that you were born into this world.
Keep your focus in spite of appearances. It is hard to believe in
abundance when all you see is poverty. Look with your eyes of faith
and give thanks.

A Bit of Philosophy

The strongest argument for the un-materialistic character of
American life is the fact that we tolerate conditions that are,
from a materialistic point of view, intolerable. What the foreigner
finds most objectionable in American life is its lack of basic
comfort. No nation with any sense of material well-being would
endure the food we eat, the cramped apartments we live in, the
noise, the traffic, the crowded subways and buses. American life,
in large cities, at any rate, is a perpetual assault on the senses
and the nerves: it is out of asceticism, out of unworldliness,
precisely, that we bear it.

The Universal Numbers vs. the Personal Numbers

The emphasis in readings or classes is usually focused upon your
personal numbers for good reason. Those are the numbers that most
directly influence your life. The universal numbers generally
relate to activities of governments and culture wide influences. As
a business person, awareness of the universal numbers can add
insight to your marketing. You can easily see the difference in
effect by an example. If you live in a large city, you are not
unaffected by what happens throughout the city, but you are more
strongly influenced by your home, family and workplace. The further
removed that you are from the events, the smaller the impact. The
universal numbers cover such a broad spectrum that you may not feel
connected to them at all.

2006 is an 8 universal year. 8 is often designated as a money
number. It brings out the best talents and abilities. An 8 year is
a time when pending projects that have been stymied move forward
again to completion. Expect that this universal 8 year will bring
some exciting financial growth, and also some major challenges.

The last time we were in an 8 universal year (1997) the U.S. Stock
Market went above 7000 for the first time. The market has been
overheated for much of the intervening time. Whether we can expect
new heights or a crash depends upon the nature of the activities
that produced the current level. If the high prices were
artificially induced through fraud and deception, a crash is
likely. If the prices were honorably produced, expect new growth.

In this powerful year, the spotlight will reveal corruption. Those
politicians who are true servants of the people will see their
power increased. The others will be exposed and an accounting
demanded.

If Your personal year is the same as the universal year, you are in
sync with the world energies and likely would have great interest
in the world-wide events. If your personal year is in conflict, you
may just let the events unfold as they will. I am in a 7 personal
year, so I am never in sync with what is happening on the world
stage. Instead of taking action this year, I am more apt to sit
back and analyze events.

If you have built your business with integrity expect productive
marketing. If your dealings have been shady, you may want to stay
out of the limelight.
