Musings:

Sorry I missed last week's issue. My mind just was not working well.

You visit a friend and are offered a choice of Pepsi or Sprite. You see that the Pepsi bottle is almost full, but the Sprite bottle contains only a single serving. You prefer the Sprite, but because you think that someone else may want the Sprite you choose the Pepsi. Or you hesitate and let the host decide. Or you debate until you show yourself to be indecisive.

Have you ever gone out on a date with someone whom you were just getting to know and asked where your date would like to eat. Even when you gave two or three choices, the response was, "I don't care," or "anyplace is fine." How did you feel about the date?

Someone who is too hesitant or too compliant can be uncomfortable to be around. The other person may really think that he or she is being considerate. Most often someone unwilling to state a preference lacks self-esteem.

We often approach the universe or God or the collective unconscious in this hesitant manner. Perhaps we are hoping that the results will be greater than we dared to ask. If we get annoyed with people who can't or won't decide, are we annoying God when we fail to ask firmly for what we want?

A Bit of Philosophy

A man...must take his turn in the work game by striving for "success" or artha, before he goes on to "service" or dharma. For if community service, as service of the divine, be attempted without the firming and trimming of ego strength found in the work game, then the service will be prostituted to personal successes. Ecclesiastics will build churches where they should have built people, politicians will build empires where they should have built mines, and educators will build departments where they should have built theories...William Sheldon, the somatotyping psychologist, has proposed that no man be allowed to talk theology until he is fifty years of age - and presumably has taken his licks in some version of the work game.

Improv Life Theater

In our Scientific Basis of Numerology class, we talk about the interconnections that each of us have to everyone else on the planet. Much of the material was developed around Carl Jung's concept of the Unus Mundi, or the unity of the seen and unseen.

We are each a part of the whole. Every thought, word or action, to a greater or lesser degree affects every other individual. Whenever you think a negative thought, or allow yourself to become angry or filled with hatred, that emotion goes into the collective unconscious. The stronger the emotion behind the deed, the more wide reaching the effect will be. We obviously have the greatest effect upon those to whom we are close, either emotionally or proximately.

When you put joy into the data bank others receive a boost. Your good wishes and thoughts of love raise the level of the collective unconscious. The effect of an individual thought may seem to be imperceptible because of the vast number of thoughts, words and actions that are entered. But under the concepts of quantum physics we see quite a different picture. The formula for Einstein's Theory of Relativity is E=mc2 (sorry, the superscript does not work in Notepad). Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. What you send out returns rapidly and with force. In other words, whatever you send out comes back to you multiplied. Therefore, your input may have a negligible effect on the collective unconscious, but it will have an immense impact upon you personally.

Because each one of us is a part of the whole, we each fulfill an unique role in the fabric of the planetary life. No one else can take your place. You were sent to this earth to play a particular part in the whole. If you were meant to do the complete job, there would be no need for 6 billion humans.

Few numerology charts are exactly alike. The numbers of your chart are your script for the role you agreed to act. You can choose to improvise, and create a different play, but when you do your actions affect the other players in your cast. They may need to modify their lines to accommodate your ad-libbing.
