Musings:

The end of 2006 was overwhelming in both the necessary activities and my emotional state. As we come into the new year, I am feelig a new surge of energy and concentration. My personal year has gone from a 7 to an 8.

As long term readers know, Edward DaPrato died on November 2, 2005. He was the owner of the house in which we have lived for 12 years. He spent most of the year in Thailand and we took care of his interests here. Following his death, we started the process of purchasing the house. There was a cloud on the title that needed to be cleared. Once we started working with the broker, there was one snag after another. We would be ready for closing and some additional item was needed.

The upshot is that the closing did not take place until January 9, 2007, after I had entered my 8 year and Tim had entered his 6 year. Our personal energies were more conducive to the purchase at this time.

When my daughter was born, (several decades ago) we encountered a similar delay. At 7:00 AM the doctor told my wife and I to get to the hospital right away. For 18 hours nothing further happened. Within the first hour after midnight of the following day, she came into this world. It appears that the delay was necessary to give her the appropriate birth date.

Delay can often be the timing of the universe for your best benefit. If you can go with the flow, without becoming discouraged or frustrated, everything works smoother. Know that we are all directed by divine providence. Our best interests are being served even when it may appear that events are working against us.

A Bit of Philosophy

For centuries, prophets and sages have suggested that one-tenth of one percent of humanity, working together in unified effort, may shift the consciousness of the entire world...Although these statistics may represent an optimum number to bring about the change, the studies in Jerusalem and the other large population centers suggest that the numbers to initiate such change may be even smaller. The studies indicate that the first effects of the mass meditation/prayer became noticeable when the number of people participating in the prayers was greater than the square root of one percent of the ppopulation. In a city of one million, for example, this value represents only one hundred individuals.

Chart Compatibility: Similarity of Motivation

The motivation is calculated from the total of the value of the vowels in your name. For your calculation, a=1,e=5, i=9, o=6, u=3 y=7,w=5. Y and W are used as vowels when they are the only vowel in a syllable or when they share a common sound with another vowel, such as in Raymond or Howard. Some numerologists dispute the use of w as a vowel. If your name contains a vowel appropriate w, calculate it both ways and see which fits you best.

The resulting total is the Soul Urge. It is what needs to be in your life to feel satisfaction. If your Soul Urge is:

1 Independence is important to you. You need to work from your own ideas without undue restrictions from others.

2 Cooperation is important. Tact and diplomacy are your tools. You will not be comfortable with confrontation. It is necessary to complete all the details of any task, even if they are not your direct responsibility.

3 Connecting with people in a positive manner promotes your business interests. A bright, cheery demeanor is important no matter how you feel.

4 Diligent effort is required. You are not comfortable receiving unless you feel that you have earned the reward. You instinctively know what will or will not work.

5 Activity leads to success. Your multiple talents open doors of opportunity. Lack of concentration can derail your efforts.

6 You desire balance in all phases of your life. Home and family are important. Your work takes an appropriate amount of your time and energy.

7 You analyze every nuance before proceeding. Many of your choices are determined intuitively.

8 Money is your motivator. It is important that you acquire the best that life has to offer. You are a demanding leader. You surround yourself with those who share your vision.

9 You seek an ideal world. You find satisfaction in sacrifice for the benefit of society.

Knowing the Soul Urge of your employees gives you insight into placing them in the right position and offering them the incentives that will speak to them. As you can see, not every employee is going to respond to the same incentive. You can tailor your approach to each employee's hot button.

Employees with compatible motivation will likely gravitate toward each other. On a group project, however, you may want to put together employees with dissimilar motivation to be sure that all aspects of the project are covered.
