You Can't Make a Mistake
Each one of us has at one time or another stated that we regret a choice that we
made. Every choice bears within it the seeds for a specific consequence. When we
make the choice we have also chosen the consequence that naturally follows from
that choice. Was the choice a mistake?
During the course of a day we each make many choices. Some of them are of little
importance. We choose to take a drink of water. We choose to go to the
convenience store instead of to the supermarket. Other choices are life
changing. We choose whom to marry. We choose a career or allow ourselves to just
take whatever is immediately available.
How do we make choices?
When you were born you came into life with a bundle of talents, abilities and
traits that make you unique. Numerology can decipher this bundle through your
name and birth date. Your specific chart reveals a lot of detailed information
about your decision making style. In a prior article (article13
) we discussed in more detail the numbers that show your decision making style
under crisis and when you have time to think through the situation.
Decisions are also influenced by experiences that you have. But, of course,
experience is the consequence of prior decisions.
Your business numbers may show a different decision making style from your
personal numbers. If these styles are in conflict, you will likely follow your
personal style to the detriment of the business. Your challenge is to become
adaptable enough to accommodate this difference. On the other hand, if too many
of the business and personal numbers are in conflict, this may not be the
business for you, or you may need to do a new incorporation to get more
compatible numbers. Working consistently under conflicting numbers will lead to
early burn out.
You also work intuitively. Many decisions are put on auto-pilot and are made
without conscious input. This subconscious processing is necessary for the
proper functioning of your life. How difficult it would be if you had to think
at the conscious level for each step, each breath or other routine functions.
You have heard the story of the centipede who could not walk when he was asked
which foot followed the other as he walked.
Unfortunately, so many of our decisions have been submitted to the subconscious
level, that we go through the day unaware of the decisions that we are making.
This style of subconscious decision making is, in itself, a decision.
So, Was the decision a mistake?
When you are in business, your decisions determine your financial success. You
make a decision that destroys your empire. Did you make a mistake?
You make a decision to hire someone that does not fit into the business, or
worse, who is dishonest or who works against you. Did you make a mistake?
Each of these examples shows a situation that has a negative connotation. With a
proper assessment, or perhaps with a numerological evaluation, you would have
made a different decision that would have brought more favorable results.
To determine whether any decision was a mistake, you need to look at your
understanding of the purpose of life. Every decision takes your life into a
certain direction. At some level, your inner guidance system determined that you
needed the lesson to be learned from that decision in order for you to become
complete. You will continue to make similar decisions until that lesson is
learned.
You can learn the lessons of life through experiencing the consequences of your
decisions. Or you can by-pass the experience through taking conscious control of
your decision making process. Numerology can give you the understanding that
helps you to avoid the negative experiences, and to determine what needs to be
done to enhance your decision making.
If you take this shortcut are you cheating? Not at all. When you learn to make
decisions that bring positive results, you have already learned the lesson.
Because every experience is for our development, no decision is a mistake. The
decision that you need to make now is whether you prefer to learn from negative
consequences or from learning to make better decisions. Neither approach is
right or wrong. You have free choice because you control your life.
