Musings:
We have recently been inundated by information on the Law of Attraction. The
movie, The Secret, has traveled across the globe in a viral effect. One of the
reasons for the popularity of this theme is that many people are unhappy with
their present circumstances. Using this natural law promises an almost magical
turn-around. This change may or may not occur. Conforming to natural law means
becoming the type of person who benefits from it. Not everyone is willing to
grow into that pattern. Some are looking for a quick fix of a dire situation, or
a means to instant wealth, but following the natural laws is a total way of
living. You can't gain benefit for yourself through the Law of Attraction if you
are filled with spite or disdain for your fellow beings. In that case you will
attract hatred.
Another natural law that is less widely heralded is the Law of Allowance. This
law states that each individual's concern is choosing his or her own experiences
and that he/she is not responsible for any others. Following this law is most
difficult because of the human need to control.
We have just vicariously witnessed a mass tragedy at Virginia Technical
Institute. Although we have sympathy for the people who were directly affected,
we often miss the deeper principle. There are no victims. Through the Law of
Allowance, can we accept that the soul of each person killed opted for that
experience? Can we accept that the grieving parents, family and friends opted
for that experience? Was it entirely random that these 33 people were killed out
of the thousands who were then on that campus?
At the risk of seeming to be callous, in the ultimate scheme of things, this
shooting incident is of no concern to me. I did not choose this experience for
my life at this time. Often, a deeper purpose is served by such incidents than
is available to surface awareness. Can we allow this experience within our
society? Each one of us has the right to choose how we will react to such a
grisly event. The Law of Allowance suggests that experiential choices were made,
which we need to respect.
During the past days, we have been overwhelmed with visual and audio images of
the shootings, the "victims" and the perpetrator. Society is indoctrinated with
the idea that there is only one acceptable reaction to this tragedy - outrage!
This conditioning allows those with ulterior motives to further their agenda
with the expectation that we will follow like sheep the planned manipulation.
Now add the Law of Attraction. With the mass media focus to channel the thoughts
of the people, millions of people throughout the world are putting out thoughts
of anger and fear. What we focus upon we create. This mass hysteria can only
produce more of this type of event. The Amish community had it right. When
several schoolgirls were shot and killed they dissipated the effect through
forgiveness. They did not allow the expected triggers to come into play. As a
result, the incident was confined to that community and to that event. That is
not to say that the grieving was any less intense, but it was kept within
appropriate levels.
Remember: If you are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem.
Your dominant thoughts attract the results that you fear. Christ taught that
perfect love casts out fear. Have you sent love to all involved in the VTI
incident, or have you added fuel to the fire with your emotion intensified
negative thoughts?

A Bit of Philosophy
If you seek to eliminate all risk, you risk something else - eliminating all
enterprise and innovation. Nine times out of ten, this may be to the
stockholders' benefit. But what about that tenth time? What about those unsung
ghosts of American business - the IBM man who turned down the Univac computer,
the DuPont executive who showed the inventor of xerography the door, the Kodak
man who who turned up his nose at Polaroid? Right back to the men who thought
the horseless carriage had no future, business history is haunted by the
memories of missed opportunities. But the unsung ghosts weren't frightened away
by risk; like bureaucrats everywhere, they couldn't see the opportunity.

Accuracy in the Numbers
In business or your personal life, you want to know that the information upon
which you base your decisions is accurate. Misinformation will produce errors in
judgment, sometimes with disastrous results. When you can confidently rely upon
a source of knowledge, you can move forward with assurance that you are not
following a will-o'-the-wisp.
Numerology has been proven through millennia of use to provide accurate answers
in areas that otherwise would be unclear. It can avoid costly trial and error.
Many businesses spend thousands of dollars on psychological tests to determine
how suited a job candidate is to the position available. Obviously, this
approach is profitable. Training a new employee is expensive. If that employee
does not pan out, the training investment is lost. Therefore, efficient
companies want to know up-front if the prospect is the right person for the job.
Even with the best use of this testing, mistakes can be made. An applicant may
rest out as ideal for the position being offered. When hired, he may do well for
a time, then become burned-out and leave. The tests do not address the fit of
the prospect with your company.
An evaluation of the prospect by the numbers is quicker and less costly than the
testing. Yet it provides more accurate results. An applicant who is qualified in
all other ways may have personal numbers that conflict with the energies of the
business. This conflict will not be disclosed by the testing, but can lead to
problems.
Business people, by necessity are practical. They want to know that the results
of whatever method is used are accurate and reliable. Numerology has a proven
track record.
